Long time no see!
So what has happened all this time I've been gone? Well...
From Thursday to Friday I had a sleepover with my 3 of my friends, Anamika, Sara and Miranda. We ate a LOT of snacks and watched 4 movies; White Chicks, Dark Skies, Spring Brakers and The Happening. They were all quite good, even though I have to admit that Spring Brakers was not how I pictured it to be. Thank God we didn't go to see it in the movies... But there was still something special about that movie that I did like, so it wasn't a total waste of time, even though it felt so.
On Saturday I went shopping in Handen. It was so much fun! I bought almost everything I need for our trip to Lithuania and Bulgaria and was very pleased with that day's buyings. What I bought you can see below! Then when I got home I just relaxed and layed in the sun.
There must be something totally wrong with me but I just don't get burned at all! I mean not burned in the way that it hurts, but in the way that you get some color. I'm still white like I don't know what and it's gonna be really uncomfortable to be on the beach being pale while everyone else have the perfect tan!
Yesterday I bought some final things and started packing and finding songs that I'll want to listen to during the rest of the summer. I can't wait until we get to meet our relatives! It's been way too long and I love Lithuania in the summer! It's quite hot, around 32 degrees Celcius every day, but I love the heat!
Today I'm just gonna finish up packing and just take it easy and don't stress, cause there will be plenty of the the upcoming days.
Saturday's lunch was a kid's plate at Taco Bar. I don't know about you, but to me that does not look like
a kid's portion!
Some stuff that I bought...
...and some even more stuff. I LOVE my new bikini!
One Direction + Rosie Huntington-Whiteley = True
So this may be old news for some of you, but I just HAD to share this with you!
So One Direction and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are on the cover of Glamour Magazine's August issue. I have to say that I was sceptical in the beginning, like why would they make a cover with her? But I have to admit that I LOVE it! It's just so flirty and fun! Of course I'm compltely out-of-my-mind jealous of her (especially in the third picture) but I still really think these shots are amazing!
She's beyond gorgeos and the boys look incredibly handsome!
These last few days...
I'm sorry I haven't updated this blog these last few days, I've just been really busy and haven't really had time. But from now on I think I will.
So what have I been up to? Well, on Monday my best friend and I had a little sleepover at my place. We watched two movies; a Korean movie called "A werewolf boy" and "Warm Bodies". Both movies were really good, the Korean movie was more of a drama/romantic movie and "Warm Bodies"... I'm guessing you all know what that one is about! They were really great and I definately recommend you to watch them both. For dinner we ate chicken salad which was DELICIOUS!!! Unfortunately I don't have any pics from that, but we both ate soooo much it's insane!
Then the next day I had lunch with her, Anna, her sister and their cousin. I think that we ate at a Korean place, but I'm not really sure... Either way I ate Bimbimbap with beef, which is a Korean dish. I've eaten it once before and I love it! It's so delicious! It's quite strong, but not unbearable and it has a distinct taste that I guess Korean food has. We sat in a park nearby, enjoying the sun, eating, taking pics and just having fun. It was a great day!
Yesterday I went shopping for th whole day and I have to admit that I was quite dissapoited to come home with only two new things; a pair of shorts and a top. I had planned to buy all the things that I need for our trip to Lithuania and Bulgaria, but it didn't work out that way. So I'll just have to go shopping again some other time!
Today my new bed arrives! I'm so happy because I've waited for so long and it hasn't really been very comfortable to sleep in my bed these weeks having something hard poking you in the side everytime you move. But soon, in about twenty minutes actually, my bed will arrive and I will finally be able to sleep well.
The delicious Korean dish!
Beautiful day at the park.
Taking selfies with my BFF.
Today's breakfast was the usual: Lactosfree natural yoghurt with banana, raisins and flax seeds. Yummy!
Yesterday's dinner and new hair
So today was just like a regular Sunday, except for one big part... I went to the hairdresser and got bangs! Yes, you heard right! I haven't had bangs since I was six or seven years old and I've been so afraid to do anything with my hair but now I just thought that it was enough, I had to try something new. Life's to short to be afraid of changes and this is just hair, it'll grow back eventually. I bought a new pair of jeans from Crocker and went directly to the hair salon in Hötorget. I was really nervous about it all, but I think that it turned out really good. And I can have it a few different ways, the one in the picture below is not the only way. What do you think? Would love to hear it.
Also as I promised yesterday I've posted the picture of the dinner below.
Feel free to comment!
The dinner was quinoa, shrimps, peas, red bellpepper, mushrooms and onions.
...and after. What do you think?
Driving lessons, gym and food
Today I woke up quite early for being a Saturday morning and went to a BIG parking lot. Me and my dad have recently started with learning me how to drive and it's so much fun! But it's a lot of hard work aswell. I was especially nervous today because it had been a while since I last drove, but even though I had a bit rocky start I'd say that it went great. When we got home everyone were still asleep so I started to make the whole family some breakfast. I decided to try to do something similar to a pic I once saw on WeHeartIt and well, it didn't really turn out the way it should've but it was delicious! Then I went to work hard at the gym for about one and a half hour. When I got home I made a delicious and healthy lunch and went outside to sit in the sun and get a bit tanned. That didn't work out so well because I have a really hard time getting a bit of color on my skin, but what can you do? And now I'm sitting here. I have to clean my room since my bestie Anna is coming over on Monday and my room looks like crap (as does the rest of the apartment). I'm also making dinner tonight! I've decided to do some quinoa with shrimps, mushrooms, peas, onions and red bellpepper. Hope it turns out ok! I'll post pics later of that. But now I'm just gonna relax and watch an episode of ANTM.
See ya'll laters!
Fried eggs in orange bellpepper - today's breakfast for la familia...
...and my lunch after a hard workout.
Lovin' her style
I absolutely LOVE the outfit Alessandra Ambrosio was wearing the other day when she was out and about with her kids in the hot summer air. There's not a single wrong thing about this outfit, it's simple and gorgeous yet comfy. What is there not to like?
Kindergarten and cinnamon buns
So today went by really fast. I woke up as usual these days, 06:15 in the morning and went to work. Everything went great at work, a really small amount of kids should've meant that it would be quite and calm, but no-no. Had to have my double dose of my favourite coffee to get through the day without falling asleep. It's gonna be so sad tomorrow, which is the last day at work. Having to say goodbye to all the incredibly cute kids and nice personell. Tomorrow is also the reason why I baked cinnamon buns. I only had made them once before so I was quite nervous, but I would say that they came out quite delicious, to be honest. Now I'm really tired after baking for almost three hours, so I'm gonna head to sleep soon, even though it's quite early.
Hope all of you've had a good day!
Today's outfit was very simple and practical, a typical "taking-care-of-kids" style.
The cinnamon buns before...
... and after going in to the oven.
Hello and welcome
My name is Ruta and I've just finished my first year at Värmdö Gymnasium (kind of like high school, I guess). I've thought about starting a blog for a while, but I've never committed to it until now. I don't really know why, just felt motivated I guess.
In this blog I'm gonna write about a lot of stuff, like music, fashion, my life and so on.
Now I know what your main question is: Why the heck is she writing in English when it's a Swedish blog address? Well, I've had a blog on here before with my friends, so I kind of know how this website works. I decided to write in English because I really like the language and of course because of the language barriers a language like Swedish would create (Google Translate is not THAT good).
So that's about all I thought I'd give you, but please make sure to leave a comment with a number and I'll have a post with all the answers.
Hope you'll enjoy my blog!
