Oversleeping
Ugh, yes, I overslept today. This never happens to me, but probably because I went to sleep a bit late last night my body decided to do what's best for it! So I wake up half an hour later than I'm supposed to and have to rush through my getting-ready-routine. This results in the fact that I don't have enough time to eat breakfast, so I end up making a breakfast-box (like a lunch-box, but for breakfast). This was actually quite a smart idea and maybe I'll do like this in the future, because then you get to sleep more, which I love!
Anyway, I get to school on time and the first lesson is Spanish. Today we had this test where we were supposed to write an essay on time with a specific subject that we got to know earlier. I don't really know how it went, since I forgot some important words that would have made the test sound more "professional", but I'll survive.
Then we had a lunchbreak for about two hours, so we decided to eat at this Italian restaurant that has the best pasta ever! Totally love their dishes. Why does pasta have to be bad for you?!
The other two lessons went by quite fast and since the last lesson was cancelled school ended earlier than usually. That ment gym time for me! Today I started this new program that is more focused on strenght than my previous routine, which was created to improve my endurance. I can already feel my muscles getting a bit sore, but it's a great feeling I have to say!
Now I'm gonna start to study for this marketing test I have next week and I have a whole lot to do.
Wish me luck!
Breakfast-on-the-go was the usual, yoghurt and müesli, but in a little box.
This is actually yesterday's lunch, which in my opinion was more delicious than today.
A little post-workout snack, warm milk with honey and homemade müesli cookies.
Chocolate-chip muffins
Here's the update about the muffins, as promised! They turned out D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!
Below is the recipe if you'd like to try and make them yourselves!
Ruta's Chocolate-Chip Muffins
Ingredients
3 eggs
2.5 dl sugar
1 teaspoons vanilla sugar
50 g butter
1 dl yoghurt of any kind (I used simple vanilla)
3.5 dl flour (I used wheat flour)
2 teaspoons baking powder/soda
1 pinch salt
200 g light baking chocolate
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175 C.
2. Whip egg, sugar and vanilla sugar until it's white and really puffy.
3. Melt the butter, add the yoghurt and add it to the egg-solution.
4. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and pour it in the egg-solution carefully.
5. Hack 2/3 of the chocolate to bits and add it to the batter.
6. Place the muffin forms on the muffin pan and fill the forms so that 3/4 is full.
7. Bake in the middle of the oven for around 10 minutes.
8. Hack the remaining chocolate to squares.
9. Take out the muffins and place the chocolate bits on top. Push them gently into the muffins.
10. Bake the muffins for another 10 minutes. Let them cool.
Weekend lovin'
Finally it's the weekend! I slept about 10-11 hours and felt super well rested when I woke up this morning. The day started with breakfast and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" with sissie, whereafter she went on a walk with Seira and I did some homework.
So I went to school on both Thursday and Friday, thank God I was feeling well enough! I attended some really important lessons and got some things done. Even though I only went to school for a couple of days, a few free days feel well deserved (must be the sickness not totally loosing it's hold on me).
Last night was mostly spent in front of the computer or the TV, but also in the kitchen. When I got home I made a snack and watched an episode of "Bones". Then we watched a basketball game, Lithuania vs. Croatia. As we'd hoped Lithuania won (!) and is now through to the finals of EuroBasket 2013! Yey!!! After the game I made dinner:
vanilla and chocolate wafers with whatever toppings you like! I'd say they came out delicious heheh!

After dinner we watched the other semifinal of the tournament to see which team was going to be Lithuania's competitors for Sunday's game. It ended up being France (as we all secretly wished), even though Spain wasn't far behind. It was a very intriguing and nail-biting game!
On today's schedule we have even more homework that needs to be done, some guitar practising, room cleaning and baking. I'll post the results later!
Until then!
Friday's lunch at school: broccoli and blue cheese pie with vegetables
Fruits, coffee and "Bones" always cheer me up!
Wafers!
Friday the 13th
Wow, it feels like I haven't written here for ages, which is kind of what it's been since my last post.
This week has gone by quite fast, probably because I've stayed home a couple of days.
On Monday I went to school as usual, but towards the afternoon I started to not feel so good. I was having random chills and a consistant headache. I was supposed to go to my first guitar lesson for this semester, but I didn't go.
So Tuesday and Wednesday I stayed at home since I wasn't feeling so good and just relaxed at home, watching tv-shows like "House", "Bones" and "Veronica Mars" and drinking a lot of tea and warm milk with honey.
Thursday I went back to school and it was really nice to see everyone again. Even though I've not been feeling so well I've gotten quite a lot of homework done.
Now it's finally Friday and the weekend is just around the corner. Even though I've been home this week I'm still longing for the weekend and some free time.
It has been going really well for Lithuania in the Europian Basketball Championship. They are now through to the second round and have beaten France, which is one of the best teams in the tournament. Today they're playing against Belgium and we're all hoping for victory, of course!
Also some of my friends' birthdays have been this week. So a BIG "Happy Birthday!" to Nashara, Anamika and my beloved Niall (who is not my friend YET :P)!
A very delicious croissant that I felt like I deserved since being sick and my life savior, warm milk with honey!
Thank you to Agnes for borrowing me this

2 days in pictures
So nothing too interesting has happened these last two days. It's been quite mellow both at school and at home, which has been kind of nice. Me and my sister have began to watch "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" again and it's really fun! I know some people don't like reality series but I just love them, they're so much fun!
Also the Europian Basketball Championship 2013 has started! People in Sweden are not really interested in basketball (since they're really not good at it!), which makes it kind of hard to watch the games that really matter in the championship. And those games are the ones were Lithuania plays! But I've found a relatively good site where you can watch it online, so it works. So now my evenings will involve a lot of basketball from now on! It's great fun though, spending some quality time with dad, cheering for my country.
Here are some pics from these last 2 days!
Some delicious ice-cream (Tiramisu) that I bought yesterday (and ate it all up hihi)
