Yesterday was the annual fashion event of the year and it did for sure not dissapoint! Even though the styles and themes of the night were a bit split, the red carpet was filled with gorgeous looking ladies and gentlemen. I just love all these kinds of events, when you get to see both TV-, movie- and music stars together attending the same event, with loads of beautiful dresses and amazing hair and make-up.

If you've followed my blog for a while, you might know that this is my all time favourite designer when it comes to dresses and gowns. If I ever have the honour of attending a red carpet, this will be the designer I will turn to for help. ...it would be a real dream come true! Ever since my interest in celebrities and fashion started that one day in sixth grade, Coachella has been one of the major topics on my "To-do-before-I-die-list". It's everything you could ever want from a festival, gorgeous fashion, great music, warm weather and famous beautiful people.

Because the festival is the topic on everyone's mouth right now, I've put together a few outfits similar to what I would be wearing if I went to Coachella.

Miley Cyrus new campaign for Marc Jacobs was released the previous weekend. The photos, taken by David Sims, shows Milet toegther with other models on an abandoned beach with post-apocalyptic feelings.

 

Personally, I really don't like the photos. I don't think that Miley is approriate as a model and I'm actually a bit dissapointed with Marc Jacobs for choosing her. She has the same facial expression on every picture, pouting those lips and looking like a sad and grumpy little kid that didn't get it's candy.

 

This campaign get a big thumbs down from me, even though the setting and the background otherwise is very impressive and a bit surrealistic a la Dalí.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yesterday it was time for the 86th Academy Awards, or more commonly known as the Oscars. This is the absolute hightlight of all the award shows, for all kinds of entertainment people. It's the most prestige award you can get as an actor, a director or anything that has to do with the movie business.

For me, this whole event is as much about fashion and celebrities as it is about the actual meaning of the awards.

Below you can watch the full Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 Ready To Wear collection which was the last and closing show of the New York Fashion Week.

Personally, I wasn't too impressed by the clothes, not really my sense of style. I did however think that it was really interesting with the clouds hanging above the viewers and the extremely long runway. Some of the pieces, once the more sparkly and wearable ones begin to come, are actually really nice. But as always, for me at least, I rarely find complete clothing pieces that I like. More often it's about colors and patterns, or maybe a kind of fabric. This collection is unfortenately no exception.

Also, if you look really closely, you can also make out Kendall Jenner from one of the models.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Afternoon everyone! Today the Valentine topic is going to circle about my very favourite subject... fashion!

While I may not be the person with the most Valentine's Day experience (a comfy night in front of a romantic movie with cookies is perfect for me), I'm for sure a big fan of pink, red and the overall girliness that comes from a perfect Valentine's Day combination.

Yesterday was the last day of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week here in Stockholm. The ones I really looked forward to were Filippa K and Tiger of Sweden, but was actually a bit dissapointed by the collections. I had expected a bit more... But there were some good stuff aswell, as you'll see below.

This last day, in my opinion, was the least exciting when it comes to fashion. Nothing really special about the collections and as I mentioned, not many outfit I liked either. My favourite day must have been yesterday. I became aware of quite many new designers that I really liked and was positively surprised by many collections, with many favourite looks.

However, here's the summary of yesterday!

This Brazilian supermodel never fails so surprise. The gorgeous Adriana Lima looks like a complete bronze goddess in the latest campaign from Donna Karan. Wearing exotic drapey print dresses and leather necklaces she looks absolutely stunning.

Since I personally don't have a pass to go and see the shows myself, these summarys come a day later. But hopefully that's okey and still interesting to all you fashion geeks like me.

Yesterday was the start to three days of the newest fashion, hottest celebrities and loads of street style inspiration. Swedish designers have work hard to get a spot in this gorgeos fashion week and only the best of the best have made it. The main locations for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week A/W 2014 is at the well-renowned Berns in central Stockholm and at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Pavilion. I've walked past there numerous times before, trying to catch a glimpse of the gorgeous outfits and eye-locking designs. But, only la crème de la crème are invited and us mortals have no chance of entering.

The first impression, or the overall picture, is very important when it comes to work. People tend to respect those who dress appropriatly more than those who come in sweats and hoodies (are there evebn any of you out there?). But let’s be clear: I'm not saying a standout blazer or a killer pair of heels will directly translate to a bump in your pay scale. However, I do think that the right workplace wardrobe will increase your confidence, elevate how others see you, and make you look the part of upper management. And it can’t hurt, right?

 

 

 

 

Beautiful model Cara Delevingne has gotten a lot of attention this last year and has been rated as one of the most desirable and asked for models. This time she's starring in Mulberry's Spring/Summer campaign, looking absolutely gorgeous. All the bags are to die for, and I would for sure get many of them if I got the money.

The campaign has a romantic/Alice in Wonderland theme, love it!
