Happy Halloween!

So this day has been a lot of fun!
I woke up quite early to have time to go for a quick gym session before I had to leave for the movie. My friends Miranda, Anamika, Sara and I had planned to see "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. Since I hadn't seen the trailer or anything I had no idea what the movie was going to be like, but I really liked it anuway! Since we saw it in 3D, the effects were incredible, even though the story in my opinion was not super good. But I liked it, and I do recommend it! Before the movie we went to Tacobar to eat lunch and, as always, it was delicious! I ordered Nacho Deluxe, my favorite. I should try something new though, so that I don't get tired od this delicious food!
On my way home I went to the grocery store to buy things for the salad that I'm making for dinner, and some candy of course! Strangely, no one has trick or treated at our place yet, but it may be coming soon. If not we'll have quite a lot of candy just for ourselves! Also we've decided to watch a horror movie the whole family together. Since my parents really aren't big fans of this kind of movies it took some time to convince them, but now the first "Paranormal Activity" is on the schedule for tonight! I'm the only one in the family who's seen it before, so it will be really fun to see their reactions and not be so frikin' scared all the time!

Hope you guys have a fun and spooky Halloween!

A little Halloween feeling! (Surely not the best quality though)

All set for the "trick or treat"-ers! (Apologizing so much for the poor quality of these last few pictures!)

American pancakes with friends

Well hello there! So nice you stopped by here! Hahah!
Today was really nice, I met up with some friends from school, watched "Ravenswood" and did some homework. May not sound like anything special to you, but it actually was really fun!

So the day started with me waking up quite early to go to the doctor and leave some blood samples. Then I had breakfast at Espresso House (a delicious dark bread sandwich with cheese and a chai latte) and headed for Farsta. There I managed to buy a really nice knitted sweater before I had to meet up with las amigas. We were supposed to go to this kind of gymnastics class, since we're creating something similar in PE in school, but the teacher had given us false information, so we weren't able to attend it. So we ended up going for a coffee at Espreso House there in Farsta (yes, I like Espresso House a lot!). It was very cosy to sit with your friends, drink hot white chocolate (which was quite tasty, not something very special though), and talk. After a while we decided to go to Patricia's house to make lunch and watch a horror movie. We did American pancakes that turned out delicious (as you can see in the pictures below), but we had some problems with the TV so we ditched the movie.

On my way home I bought some Marabou Digestive for my sister and I (as if I hadn't eaten enough unhealthy things) and watched the newest episode of "Ravenswood". I actually like it quite a lot and will be very sad to see it end in about a month. After that we ate tuna salad for dinner, then I did my homework and here I am now!

Tomorrow will be a lot of fun as well, and I'll try to write all about it! See you then!

American pancakes with different toppings: raspberrys, chocolate sauce, syrup and sugar.

According to me, the most delicious combination was mashed raspberrys with chocolate sauce!

Fun sleepover with bestie

This weekend has seriously been the best weekend in what feels like a very long time. You already know all about Saturday, so I won't mention how relaxing it was.
So the sleepover at Anna's house was Sunday to today, Monday. But first we went to church and this church hostess - meeting (not sure about the translation there). It was actually quite nice, we got delicious egg sandwiches and the first gingerbread of the season.
After the meeting we got a ride to her place by my dad. We ate lunch and just hanged for a bit. After a while her sister's friends arrived and Anna and I decided to bake some subway - inspired cookies. They turned out beyond delicious and I ate WAY too much of them, but it was impossible to stop once you started! We also watched some movies, Paranormal Activity 2 & 3. They are seriously the best scary movies I've seen (not that I've seen so many)! They are really scary, but in a nice way. I'm not the kind of person who likes monsters or killers, I guess I'm more on the psychological side. I like the nervousness of the waiting of something to happen, which you do almost the whole movie. The downside of scary movies is that you're afraid even after the movie ends, and that for me is quite some time. For example I'm home alone right now and a bit freaked out, even though there aren't any creepy sounds or anything going on. Yep, the movies really get to me!
Anyway, after a bunch of cookies and coke we decided to go for a fresh dinner and made some salad. Anna's mom also brought home this kind of potatoe - pie, it's really hard to explain, but it was really good and I'm gonna try to find it in the store near me. Anna and I accidently fell asleep directly after the last movie and woke up at around 1 PM and got ready for sleep and so on.
We slept until 9 PM I think and ate avocado, some leftovers and cookies for breakfast. Really healthy, I know! We also watched "Hotel Transylvania" and we both loved it! There's just something about Disney movies in the morning for me, it feels like a great start to the day. Absolutely love it!
After lunch, which was this yummy bean and bacon soup Anna's mom cooked, I had to head home. Anna was going to an another sleepover and I had some homework to do here at home. After everything that needed to be done was done I decided to watch "The Notebook". Now don't freak out, but I hadn't seen it before. Of course I had lots about it, but I guess the timing had never been right. And yes, I cried SOOO much. I'm not the kind of person who cries to movies, but I've never cried so much to a movie like I did to this one. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm a cold person with no compassion, but I just can't cry that easily. But sometimes the story really gets to me, like it did this time. It's just such a beautiful story and the end is just so sad but still happy, ugh...

Yeah, so now I'm sitting here, preparing dinner for the family, waiting for them to come home. I think we'll watch "Life As We Know It" with Josh Duhamel (so hot!) and Katherine Heigl. Salmon with rice and carrot salad for dinner by the way!

Have a great rest of the day!

My new brocolli - husband and I were so happy together. He got me through some really tough parts in the movie!

Half the weekend later

Can you believe it? Already half the weekend has flown by faster than ever. Fortunately this weekend is just the beginning of a much longer break from school, and this break is very well needed and deserved!
Today I haven't done much at all, which has been very nice. It's been a long time since I had a day like this when I could just do whatever I wanted. I woke up at 9.30 AM, had some breakfast while watching "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" with my sissie and then I went to the gym. After gym I had lunch, a very simple but oh so delicious salad, and then I watched the latest episode of "The Originals" and two movies; "The Purge" and "The Road". Both were interesting, though the first one was better if you ask me. Definately something I recommend!

Tomorrow after church there's this meeting that both my sister, Anna and I have to attend. After that meeting Anna and I probaby will be heading to her place, since we're gonna have a sleepover. It's gonna be so much fun! And it's gonna be filled with k-pop as well, yey!

Anyways, here's Friday and today, Saturday, in pictures.

Have a great weekend!

This scenen in the latest episode was so sad! (The Vampire Diaries)

Candy and cookies while watching movies, yum!

Almost done with school

Yep, after today there's only Friday left and then it's finally time for the autumn vacation! I have longed for some free time for so long and I can't belive it's finally here!
But there won't be much "free time" for me though. Because guess what? Yeah, my stupid teachers have scheduled two (!) exams the week precisely after the break, one in social studies and one speech in Swedish. So I will study a LOT and I'm so pissed off! But I'm definately not going to sacrifice my break to school, so I'll definately have some days off and lots of "me-time". I'll also catch up with some friends that I haven't seen for a while, maybe go to the movies, have a sleepover with my bestie Anna and just have lots of fun. And of course I'll write all about it here!
So you know I was planning going to the gym for a couple of days now? Well, it hasn't happened hahahah! But today, today will be different because I've even brought my gym stuff to school so that I can go directly to the gym. Then I'll buy some delicious stuff on my way home, like I did yesterday (I needed something fun while studying for the science exam I had today, so I bought some nuts and chocolate). I'll also watch the first episode of "Ravenswood" since a didn't have time to watch it yesterday or earlier today. But I've already watched the Halloween episode of "Pretty Little Liars" and O M G!!! It was so good and creepy and I can't wait for the rest of it!

Strangely it feels like Friday already, as it does every Thursday for me. But soon it's the weekend I can finally relax a bit and be able to just lay in bed without having to feel guilty about it.

Hope you've had a great week soo far!

On Tuesday mom bought a blueberry pie to "celebrate" that I had found a place to do my practice at, so sweet of her!

Yesterday's fun part...

... and boring part.

Stupid Apple

As you can imagine from the headline, I'm not so very pleased with Apple at the moment.
Yesterday I was supposed to simply upgrade the software on my iPhone to the new iOS 7.0.2. So I started it and it all went quite smoothly until a sign appeared that said that there were some problems with the update and it couldn't be done. So I unplugged the phone from the computer and tried again. Everything went well until the same sign appeared. Then when I unplugged the phone again, it just kind of got stuck on the apple thingy and I had to try several times to shut it off before it worked. When I turned it on again, it said that the phone had to be connected to iTunes. So I thought that maybe I had unintentionally interrupted something and it had to continue the update or something? But no, now my phone apparently had to be restored! Of course I panicked because it said that all the content would be removed and stupid as I am I of course hadn't done a back-up or anything. So I was so scared that everything I had, all the photos, music and so on, would be gone. And they were, but fortunately I was able to recover at least the photos. But all the apps and all the music is gone, and it has taken me all day to try and find half of them. So yeah, I'm pretty pissed of at Apple right now!

Otherwise, this day hasn't been too bad. Everything at school went okey and the guitar lesson as well. I also got the new issue of "Teen Vogue", so I'm gonna have some nice reading before going to bed. Tomorrow we have English and we're gonna watch a movie of some kind, and after lunch we're going on a field trip to Handelsbanken to hear about their marketing. Not that I have noticed any, but apparently it's good, otherwise my teacher probably wouldn't have bothered... Anyway, we'll see how that goes.
Now I'm just gonna relax and watch "Bones".

See ya!

Before update

After update. Which one do you like the best?

Chill Saturday

Yep, that's what all this day is going to be about. After a really stressful week I really hink I deserve some time where I don't feel obligated to do anything in particular. This of course results in me laying on my bed watching tv-series, eating unhealthy food and being lazy lazy lazy! But no, I will actually get something useful done today. I'm planning on hitting the gym in a couple of hours and maybe do a tiny bit of homework.

Yesterday was so fun as well! The math test went great, or so it felt anyway. Then around 6PM all my friends from school came over to my place for a birthday dinner. It was so fun to eat delicious food which my mom and dad made and just talk about stuff that didn't have anything to do with school. The cake was so delicious, probably my new favourite cake. I LOVED all the pretty presents I got and I can't wait to use them!

Yep, that pretty much sums up it all! Now I'm gonna go get a cupcake and maybe watch an another episode of "The Originals", which is actually quite good (I'm not so very picky when it comes to tv-series). Also I'm gonna try convince la familia to have a movie night tonight, hope they will agree.

Have a great Saturday everybody!

Today's breakfast (hihi you know you're bad when you eat cake for breakfast!)

Love this new cup I bought, it's so pretty and colorful!

Cupcake time!

A bit more healthy meal, today's lunch

Fall is getting to me

Today I've been at home, not feeling so well. On today's schedule has been a lot of homework, I've studied for the math test on Friday, read a bunch of pages in the litterature book, done the Spanish homework for Thursday, played guitar and painted my nails. So I've gotten quite a lot of things done. Of course I've had some fun as well, reading blogs, updating Tumblr, listening to music, watching "Bones" and reading British ELLE that I got from Agnes. So it's been quite a chill day. Outside the weather isn't the best. It's cold, grey and windy. They said on the news that we could expect some snow on Friday! It's days like these that make me long for summer and wish it never ended.

Here are a few pics for you who feel the same way!

BFFs

This weekend has been so much fun!
On Friday I had a small birthday dinner with my dearest friends from before high school, the ones I ended 9th grade with; Miranda and Anamika. Sara was also supposed to come, but she got sick so she couldn't make it. We had Caesar salad for dinner, and then we also ate this delicious chocolate mousse cake and a lot of snacks, chips and candy of course! We watched this movie called "The Island" which was a bit creepy but really cool, I really liked it. I also got some great presents; a beautiful blouse from Miranda and Sara, and mascara and eyeliner from Anamika. It was so nice to meet them after quite a some time, I really enjoyed it!
Then the next day, Saturday, I studied a bit in the morning, but didn't get too much done. Later, at around 4.30 PM, Agnes and Anna arrived for the birthday-sleepover that I was holding that day. We ate some snacks and discussed which movies we were going to see and before we knew it we had to meet up with Bea. So we did and bought pizza and even more snacks and candy and went home. The pizza was DELICIOUS! It was a American Pan Pizza called "Indiana" and had a lot of cheese, which I love. Then we watched "The Box" with Cameron Diaz and James Marsden. It was a very interesting psychological thriller, that at times was a bit hard to understand but ended up being a great film. Then we ate cake, but since we had eaten a lot of snacks and candy I didn't eat that much. After cake we watched two more movies; "She's the man" and "Beastly". I've seen them both before, but I really didn't mid since they're both amazing. "She's the man" is a classic girly/feel good - movie and "Beastly" is just such a beautiful romanic movie with a great message. Of course the fact that one of my favourite male actors, Alex Pettyfer, starred in the movie wasn't a bad thing (he's so H.O.T. it's insane!). We were all really tired after that, but still somehow ended up watching K-pop videos and my very talented bestie's group "UNIQUE". Check them out here. Finally we went to bed at 3AM and I slept until 7AM, because I woke up with a huge stomach ache. So went Agnes and Bea went to church I stayed at home with Anna, until she had to go home aswell. The rest of the day I just did some studying for the math test I had today that I'm not really sure about how it went. It felt good, but other times when I've been feeling good about a test it hasn't turnedout so good, so I'm not really sure what to believe.

Wow, this ended up being a LOT of text. Hope you had the patience to read it all. Now here are some pictures!

Style inspiration

This dress is PERFECTION! The LBD that every girl should have, with a nice and romantic little twist that makes this dress unique. I'm actually really thinking about buying this dress... What do you think, should I go for it?

I love everything about this outfit! The white top with the pants that add that color to the outfit. Also the necklace and the bracelet adds that little "bling" to this outfit and makes it more "wow". Also the hair is perfectly done, so this outfit is gorgeous!

This outfit may seem quite boring, but there is a detail that make it interesting. It's the fact that the pants aren't totally black, like they may seem at first glance, but avtually they have a print. I also like the print of the top, which makes this outfit more cute.

Love the cute flower bottom of this knitted top, so cute!

This colorblocking outfit is simple but amazing!

Throwback Thursday - photoshoot

Today's first post goes to my dear sissie. Doesn't she look gorgeous? The first photo is of me (heheh I know this is supposed to be about my sister, but I wanted to post this pic aswell), a "behind the scenes" pic and the other two are the final pics of Milda's results. Give me those legs, honey!

No yoga Wednesday

Started with another sports-related headline today too hahah ;)

Nah, just kidding. I was supposed to go to yoga today, and I did go to the gym and all, just to find out that it was cancelled. Can you imagine how sad I was? Also this whole practice-thingy is not going so well either, hoping for an answer from a potential company tomorrow, but the answer is probably going to be "I'm sorry, we don't accept interns." Can you guess how many times I've heard that phrase by now? And how many times I've said "Oh, okey. Thank you anyway!", while I actually just wan't to punch them? Hahah, no, I'm just kidding, but I'm really annoyed, that I will admit. Well, we'll see how it all works out!

Anyway, today was kind of chill at school, nothing mayor. Except for the math test that's coming up next week and I'm several chapters behind the schedule. How I'm gonna manage to study while throwing two parties this weekend, that's a question I'd like an answer to!

Yep, and now some pictures from today!

A picture from today's science class, this project about overfertilization.

Some healthy snacks I bought on my way home. The drink was quite good, tasted a bit like apple juice. The nakd. ginger bread-bar was okey, nothing I would recommend, but definately eatable. The most delicious thing was the Eat Natural-bar, mmm...

All set for a yoga class, but the instructor didn't show up! I did some stretching together with the others instead.

Tuesday Zumba

Hello guys! Long time no see! I know I've apologized for my absence before, but this time I actually have an excuse! The thing is, I had this HUGE marketing exam, as I've said before, and I have studied literally ALL THE TIME. For example this weekend I literally didn't leave my room unless it was to get food or go to the bathroom. It's been awfull and I've been so bored, stressed and filled with anxiety. Even cried a couple of times...

But now it's finally over and I couldn't be happier! So on my way home I bought chocolate muffins that I ate while watching "Bones", for the first time in like three days. I also had booked this Zumba class for beginners at the gym that I went to and it was so much fun! After being almost dead for 4 days it felt so nice to move my body to some fun music. I'm definately going to continue to do this every Tuesday from now on.

Also my class (at school) is going to have this kind of project were we have to practice at a company of our choice and then we're gonna write a paper on it and some other stuff that has to do with marketing. I've been searching for a place to do my practice for seriously more than a week and every place I visit just keep saying no. I'm so mad! Like what do they have to loose? I wouldn't say no to some extra help for free if owned a company! Ugh, I'll just have to keep trying and hope for the best. A worst case scenario is me working at the "Stockholm Film Festival", and that's not too bad if you as me!

No super fun pictures today, but I hope you'll bear with me.

Pretty flowers! (Source)

Cinnamon buns

I'm so sorry for not posting this yesterday, it just go so late and I was so tired... Anyway, they turned out to be the most delicious cinnamon buns I've ever eated and so thought everyone else, so I suggest you give this recipe a shot. Just don't do it if you're in a hurry or late at night, like I did. Okey, here's some pics and the recipe.

Enjoy!

Today's dinner (literally)

Ingredients

150 g soft butter
1 dl (90 g) sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cardamon
5 dl milk
50 g fresh jeast
14 dl (840 g) flour

Filling
175 g soft butter
1 dl (90 g) sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cardamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla sugar

1 egg, lightly beaten
Pearl sugar

Directions

1. Beat butter, sugar, salt and cardamon in a big bowl.
2. Warm the milk in a sauce pan to 37 C, take it away from the heat and crumb in the jeast. Stir until the jeast disolves, then add the milk.
3. Add flour, a little at a time, och work it to a smooth dough. Cover the bowl with a clean and dry kitchen towel and let it ferment for 45-60 min.
4. During that time you can mix all the ingredients for the filling in a smaller bowl.
5. When the dough has fermented, split it into two equally large parts. Start with rolling one of them out onto the table to a rectangle, aproximately 40x50 cm big. Spread half of the filling evenly on the top.
6. Now you can choose if you'd like to do regular cinnamon buns (7.) or cinnamon wreaths (8.-10.)
7. Roll the longer side of the dough so that you have a long roll. Then cut the dough into 3 cm wide rolls.
Place them on a tray with greaseproof paper or baking tins.
8. Fold the dough once (double layer of dough) if you want them to be normal size, or twice (three layers of dough) if you want them to be big.
9. Cut long strips, approximately 2 cm wide. Then cut the strips in half, but leave the top uncut (imagine a long pair of pants).
10. Twist together the long legs and form to a knot. Place the buns of the tray.
11. Repeat the steps with the rest of the dough.
12. Cover with a kitchen towel and let the buns ferment for 30 minutes.
13. While the buns ferment, heat the oven to around 200 C.
14. Brush the buns with the lightly beaten egg and sprinkle pearl sugar on top. Bake the buns for 8-11 minutes depending on their size.

Tips!
Since the buns easily can get quite dry I did double the batch of the filling. They turn out more yummy then!
Also check on the buns after 8 minutes, even if you make big ones. Depending on the oven it can take a different amount of time before they're ready.

Cinnamon-bun day

Yep, something like that exists here in Sweden and it's one of the best days of the year. It smells like cinnamon buns everywhere you go, every market, every shop, every café have special prices for cinnamon-buns and it smells like heaven! So of course, what better way to celebrate it than to bake your own? That's what I'm doing right now and I'll make sure to post the result and recipe here, so come back in a couple of hours to see how it turned out! The only bad thing with baking your own cinnamon-buns is that it takes a whole lot of time before you can actually enjoy them. But it's fun and they taste even better if you make them by yourself!

Today is also finally Friday! I have been looking forward to the weekend so much, but unfortunately I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I'd like to. I have TONS of homework to do and the main thing that I'm going to focus on is the marketing exam that I have next Tuesday. My teacher is seriously insane, she want's us to know way too much information and it's not going to be able to write the exam in only two hours if you look at the amount of questions and the quality she wants them to have.
So I do not have a very fun weekend in front of me!

Also Friday means "Vampire Diaries"! Today is the premier of season 5 for us in Sweden and I have longed for this day in probably around 6 months, so I'm really happy that it's finally here. I haven't watched it yet, but I will after I write this post while the cinnamon-buns are fermenting. Can't wait!

Hope you guys have had a great week!

Oversleeping

Ugh, yes, I overslept today. This never happens to me, but probably because I went to sleep a bit late last night my body decided to do what's best for it! So I wake up half an hour later than I'm supposed to and have to rush through my getting-ready-routine. This results in the fact that I don't have enough time to eat breakfast, so I end up making a breakfast-box (like a lunch-box, but for breakfast). This was actually quite a smart idea and maybe I'll do like this in the future, because then you get to sleep more, which I love!

Anyway, I get to school on time and the first lesson is Spanish. Today we had this test where we were supposed to write an essay on time with a specific subject that we got to know earlier. I don't really know how it went, since I forgot some important words that would have made the test sound more "professional", but I'll survive.
Then we had a lunchbreak for about two hours, so we decided to eat at this Italian restaurant that has the best pasta ever! Totally love their dishes. Why does pasta have to be bad for you?!

The other two lessons went by quite fast and since the last lesson was cancelled school ended earlier than usually. That ment gym time for me! Today I started this new program that is more focused on strenght than my previous routine, which was created to improve my endurance. I can already feel my muscles getting a bit sore, but it's a great feeling I have to say!

Now I'm gonna start to study for this marketing test I have next week and I have a whole lot to do.

Wish me luck!

Breakfast-on-the-go was the usual, yoghurt and müesli, but in a little box.

This is actually yesterday's lunch, which in my opinion was more delicious than today.

A little post-workout snack, warm milk with honey and homemade müesli cookies.

Birthday girl

Yes, the headline says it all! But one thing you could be mistaken by is that my birthday was yesterday and not today.

The day started with sleeping until 7.30AM, which is quite long for a day in the middle of the week. The reason for that was that I only had one lesson, it started at 1.15PM. But the first thing that happened in the morning was that the whole family woke me up with cake, flowers and presents. Then I had to hurry and get dressed so that we could eat cake before everyone had to leave for school/work. So I was left all alone at home, but I didn't mind. It was really nice to just take it easy, eat breakfast, lunch and the rest of my piece of cake and watch "Bones".

The lesson at school went by really fast. After that me and my friend Nicolina went to Blueberry's meeting about studies abroad. We are both interested in studying in USA after what you can call high school here in Sweden, probably in California, but also New York. That meeting was really interesting and exciting and I got to know a lot more about it all. I really really want to study in the US, but it's quite expensive and I really feel like I need to get a part time job, so I'm on the hunt! It's really not easy to get a job here in Sweden, unlike in other countries. I'll just have to keep going and not give up until I have something!

When I got home my sister was still at her horseriding lesson with mom, so it had to be a quite quick dinner. I decided to go for pizza, since we don't eat it often at all. But we're going to celebrate more properly this weekend, since we didn't have time yesterday.

Birthday cake!

Yummy!

Beautiful flowers I got that morning.
